preferably both, but if I'm trying to get my rocks off I'd say graphics, I can get great stories elsewhere not in porn games. Though caring about the characters in the game does make it hotter.
Both. In a medium such as an AVN, graphics greatly elevates the plot. And many games get good funding with good graphics. But a game with good graphics with bad plot still makes a bad game.
Both. Best plot in the world with cartoon/Koikatsu graphics and the game is shit. Great graphics but a blueballfest is also shit. Other bad plot are just nonsensical, lots of Engrish, etc.
You need both. Most important is the plot imo. But even if the game has a great plot, if the graphics are awful, it can't save the game. And likewise. Beautiful models wont save a crappy plot either.
If it's a longer game, or a slow burn where I'm expected to spend time on it, plot. I'm not going to stick around long for an idle clicker.
If it's a one wank wonder, graphics, every time. I'm not here for a long time, I'm here for a good time, and I can't be bothered to memorise the lore before I get my jollies.
Graphic sucks you in like fancy advertising.
But i dont last without a good plot. On the other side, wit ha good plot, i end up not minding the graphics.
Graphics honestly. I think the latest gen models are just inferior to the early models. FILF has some of the greatest models and they’re never used in other games
Graphics for sure. I will work or skip through a shitty story if the graphics are nice. But if it's ugly I will never know if the story is good because I've already moved on.
I think graphics just have to reach a certain threshold, if they reach that threshold then they're good enough and improvements beyond that point only marginally increase enjoyment.
At first I pay attention to the graphics. I can't say that I'm a great fan of HS and other more primitive engines. Though I have to confess that after playing Pale Carnations and some other HS games with the graphics that are possibly at the topmost level that this engine allows I somewhat have changed my opinion about it.
Unfortunately, good graphics are much more common in this genre than the good writing. There are so many games that I fast forwarded just to see the renders because the story was very bad and felt a waste of time.
So, the graphics is what attracts my attention but it doesn't guarantee that the game is good. From this prospective I would say that the story is more important. And a good story is one in a hundred.
it depends a lot on people's taste but for me always a good plot can overcome crappy graphics as long as you like to read the stories if not definitely graphics for visual excitement...
