hey everyone

I made a game called Dirty Pervert. it's a dark adult visual novel about a guy who gets blackmailed and slowly starts doing more and more messed up stuff to protect his girlfriend and his life. there's branching story, multiple endings, about 15 days of gameplay, 10+ characters, mini-games, collectibles, a gallery. typical renpy stuff. One important thing - this is just the first chapter. the story ends on a cliffhanger. it's not the full game yet. more is coming, but i wanted to release what's ready and see if people even like it before i spend another year working on it alone.
But i should warn you right away
this game has a lot of fetish content. not just regular adult stuff, but specific things like worn underwear, piss, body fluids, corruption, humiliation, noncon, and other things that are definitely not for everyone. i'm not trying to shock anyone, but i also don't want people downloading it and being caught off guard. if any of that bothers you, this is probably not your game.

Here's the thing about the text
english isn't my first language. used deepl to translate it, then went through it manually and fixed what i could. there are still probably weird sentences, awkward phrasing, or things that just sound unnatural. if you play and see something that's clearly broken english - please tell me. i'll fix it.

honestly, i just need feedback. what's boring, what's confusing, what feels like a waste of time. also if something breaks or the writing is especially bad. i want to make the game better, but i can't do that if i don't know what's wrong.

there has been so many games 100% created by AI, you don't even need to do anything these days other than prompt an AI to make a AI game.

out of the 26,000 AI games released in the last year or so, i haven't played any of them (maybe I'm just too old)

Also, what tools did you use to create the AI assets? I don't really understand the hate surrounding AI; many people already use it to improve their renders, and some devs have achieved excellent results with it. The thing is, if you want to get good results with AI, it’s just like any other rendering application, it requires a lot of time and effort...So, from my perspective, the hate towards AI is unfounded, but oh well... to each their own.

thanks for the tip, i'll open a ticket!

for the tools: stable diffusion for visuals, suno for some music, and a mix of qwen/chatgpt/deepseek/gemini for writing, translation, and debugging.
i know ai stuff isn't everyone's thing, but it's just me working on this with no budget, so without these tools the game wouldn't exist. i'm not hiding it - just using whatever helps me actually finish something.

I must admit I'm getting tired of AI chan (the generic AI girl you see pretty much everywhere) but from what I see your characters look pretty original.

There is still this "AI touch" in the visuals (something too clean in the light? I don't know exactly but you can say it's AI), but it still looks nicely done

I think a lot of people (including myself) are just getting tired of bad games, and lately many of these bad games feature AI visuals.

If it was just about being a bad game, people would just not give a fuck like they often do, but if you add some polemic features (AI or NTR being good examples), games are more likely to be picked up

I'm not really into visual novels but i'll give it a try and give you honest feedback

I've never used AI for art but at this point the point I'm tired of the dumb fucking sheeple who quickly parrot "AI bad" like an NPC just because some pseudo artists told them to. AI has it's uses and can be a good tool for indie devs. As an example I found a free and open-source translator tool that makes use of AI to translate one language to another.

Another thing about these so-called "Artists" one should know. There have been multiple instances where an artist has impacted a game in a negative way. The infamous eroge "Breeding Season" being an example is one that was ruined by the game's artist, this was reported by users over on F95. One can see comments and posts that were not censored about that one.
Don't feel bad if someone shames you for using AI.

I agree. There's a difference between using AI and abdicating to AI. Also, I keep saying in the adult game space we've seen countless games using generic DAZ models and countless games using generic (and horrendous, IMHO) HS2\Koikatsu models, some of those were good games and some were low-effort pre-AI slop. I personally can't stand the looks of HS2, but there's a plethora of games with great writing that will balance out the mediocre visuals. We should really get used to judging products by their own merits...or lack thereof.

So, I've played through day 4 - 5

_So far the story is interesting. Got fucked by bad end because it didn't seem like 5 years in jail was realistic for leaking nudes but heh, why not. Also, that many medical tests for a driver licence seems a bit odd but, once again, why not. Let's say it didn't hurt suspension of disbelief too badly. Anyway, because it is Ren'Py, just need to scroll back to where you fucked up so it's not really a problem.
The writing seems ok, I took the habit of reading fast anyway to get the general idea, but I didn't get pissed like many other games where i just end up skipping everything and not reading. So that's a good point

_Girls are nice, glad I haven't seen AI chan lol. You can tell it's AI, but it's original enough to be enjoyable. Now, it is purely subjective, but actually the only times I don't really read the text in most h games is during sex scenes. It's like the "show don't tell" thing in cinema. But as I sayed it's purely subjective, regarding the standards it's not bad at all.

_Minigames are ok too, mostly did the "find the pair" one + the repairing stuff ofc. Had trouble understanding what you need to do in the repair minigame at first, but it's actually pretty obvious; it's just dumb me.

_Minor flaws spotted in english translation:

-The game asks you in the beginning what is your best friends' name, but actually is girlfriend, right?

-Sex scene in Day 4 morning:

I was unsure of what "talk with microphone" would be, actually leads to bj scene. So I guess this is the type of "confusing translation" you mentionned earlier lol


...Don't really have more to tell for now, nothing exceptionnal, but nothing to be ashamed of either.

Now as I said visual novels are not really my type of games, but still i'm hooked enough to keep playing till the end later. So I guess it's pretty positive
