How big of a harem is too big?

[BakaChan]

Ecchi sensei harem is too big to maintain.. the dev gave up.

i mean whats the use of more girls without content???

Harems are pretty popular, but what is the right number of girls in a harem? Can it be too big? I think harems are too big when it feels like you have to choose between girls in the harem, or you only ever see a girl when you're having sex with her. I personally like WVM but I feel like it may be pushing that limit. How big is too big for you, and have you ever lost interest in a game because the harem got too big?

Not sure about a limit per say but harem hotel I feel like was a bit too many. it's too big If I cant remember their names let's say it like that

[Looveer29]

I think 5-7 is around my limit.

Games that go overboard with the harem (10+) become boring due to lack of character development, lack of focus on specific characters I like, or just fizzle out as there's just too much to do.

Yes, I agree that more than 10 is already too much.

In the world people have built huge harems/cults so the sky's the limit

[ajohnny]

I'd say 5 is about enough. Don't like it when they just keep piling up more characters with no content

[SusPelican]

Shit starts becoming too big when I cannot remember who each person is or what they are doing.

I'd prefer 2-3 fleshed out, well written characters over 10+ big-titted bimbos who suck your dick 2 minutes into the game...

Any more than 6 in a harem, and my poor wrist can't handle the workload.

It depends on the game type. In a VN style game, I would prefer around 6 would be optimal since often the character development is the focus of the game.

In RPG and sandbox games, there is technically no limit for me.

[Petrov]

I don't really need a harem, but if the game has one I think 3-4 is enough.
I like it if the MC has a bond with the girls he fucks.
If the harem gets too big there's harly interaction in most games.

3; two sisters and mom, with the occasional friend with benefits and one night stands

[mumelucke]

Harems shouldn't be too big in games, just 5-7 maximum. But if the game takes enough time and introduces the characters well then there could be more

[dudeplayer]

in my opinion, you could never have a big enough harem. there's no max limit for me.

[stockfish]

3-4 is enough for me

[razorwire24]

I guess it depends on how the story is written but if I had to pick, 5 would be the max for me.

[somethin]

No harem is too big if it is enjoyable

[User_102802]

I like around 3-5

Variety is the spice of life! I love having a bunch of choices to pick from.

[bosspigs]

3 or 4 in the family is enough. Maybe 2 more out could help too.

[GoodOleFun]

4-5. Too many more and it's just a bunch of girls trying to sleep with one guy, not a loving relationship between multiple people.

[yesplznothxkk]

8-10, I like variety strong - I doubt the females would appreciate it.
Wasn't it Parental Love where one of the end scenes of the game has a calendar hanging on a wall with who gets MC on Monday, tuesday.... etc.?
