discussion Do you prefer 2D or 3D games?

[Asandbox]

Does text base game consider 2d? if so I like 2d more since more creative stuff had been made in 2d by small creators. 3d with small creators is a hit or miss. Mostly miss in my book.

Both are fine tbh. No real difference in quality in my eyes.

As long as the art is done right, either can be good.
But since I started, way back when, my NSFW journey into every despicable kink there is with hentai, I tend to prefer 2D.

3d games but there are 2d games that i love more than the 3d

2D has more charm because it's "easier" to develop your own style, while in 3D some models can look more repetitive in various games, but it's easier to create a lot of content and animations with them.

[Alistoriia]

Man, I guess I'm on the losing side, but I love 2D. It depends on artstyle, of course, but I don't really enjoy jerking it to 3d models, maybe due to some bad experiences with bad quality games and animations

[ShyYuni]

I prefer 2D normally but it has to have a nice artstyle

[edgat]

I prefer 2d, the models in 3d games are too repetitive.

[hensd]

I like both styles, both have their charms and diffent styles of playing. Stick with just one and it gets boring.

Generally i prefer 3d but for sandbox or games with rph elements i like 2D too

[BigEffinPerv]

I voted for 3D but honestly both are okay with me. It's mostly about playability and content, I'm not that picky about the format.

[Coppdro]

for me its 3D but if the theme and art style is satisfying i can play 2d games also!

[londonbridge90]

I only like 3D ones. Don't know why 2D still exist, maybe backwards compatibility?

You get a lot more variation in 2d styles usually so I tend to like them better.

[AllegedUnicorn]

I generally prefer 2D, because usually it was associated with more time and care going into it. But AI has changed that.

Also it sad that we probably never get another triple a quality 2d hentai like original kuroinu again

When it's good, I find 2D to be way better. But mid vs mid, I prefer 3D

[jazzyjim999]

I tend to prefer 3d.
