discussion Any Doctor who fans?

Next season releasing may 11th. Hope its good. I do like the new doctor, just worried the writing is going to let them down like it did during the shitnail era.

I really like the show... I have gotten a lot of people into it... the way I do is I have them watch Blink. It's the first episode with the Weeping Angels, and it has almost no Doctor. If they like that then the should go back to the the 9th Doctor and grin through the silliness to get to the real good stuff.

I could call myself a fan, although this is far from reality. I'm a fan of "smart sci-fi" and this series is more "action sci-fi" than "smart sci-fi". Despite this, the visual implementations are great and the characters are good. I watched 6 seasons of it before I got bored. (I would like to note that I haven't seen a series where I didn't get bored of it after 5-6 seasons)

I feel like it's hard being a Doctor Who fan. Not because they're mercilessly harassed or anything, but just because in recent years the show has been really... ehhh...

Good show, stopped watching it after 12th doctor though. Never really had enough time after a while.
