The Anime to manga to light novels to webnovels pipeline truly hits like crack. :D

Led me to pretty much only read korean and chinese fantasy :)
oh yeah, the pipeline is very real, I started with anime like around 20 years ago and it was just downhill from there. I don't watch as much anime nowadays, most of it was during my teenage years but my list must be well over 1500 animes at this point. 🫣

I've read a few korean manhwa but I never found a chinese one that I enjoyed (and to be fair I never searched for one either), I'm not very into the cultivation fantasy.

Lord of mysteries from Cuttlefish that loves diving,
Throne of magical arcana from Cuttlefish that loves diving.
Those two are probably my favourite chinese webnovels, but I do agree that recommending chinese ones is harder, especially if not into the whole cultivation fantasy. The translations are a lot more iffy in chinese works than korean ones. Korean novels in comparison feel like a buffet, and even the most mid korean novel is usually pretty readable + the themes are a lot more broad with kingdom building, murim, urban, western style fantasy (magic, knights, heroes), personally the endings seem to be better aswell.

If you want to take another shot at cultivation style fantasy I would recommend a regressors tale of cultivation, its a korean novel, but set in a chinese cultivation fantasy world.

As someone who typically doesn't like anime, I rather enjoyed Frieren. I feel like it just skipped over a lot of the unnecessary stuff and I liked that it did that

Oh yes Frieren is pretty cool, lol, I still need to watch season 4, tbh, it’s kind of funny that every character has an adjective as a name, like "Strong," "Power," "Freezen"

Any recommendations for some good lightnovels or webnovels?
If you haven't read them and have any interest in fantasy/isekai Mushoku Tensei, ReZero, and Ascendance of Bookworm are all very good. Reincarnated as a slime is also decent.

Also absolutely second the recommendation of Apothecary Diaries.

Sometimes as a break, I will watch some anime. I'm following this anime right now. I don't pay for anime because the industry doesn't care about anime fans, they keep censoring and shitting on the source material. Proper adaptions should be done, if not, then don't do an anime adaption at all.
My Source list for Anime, Manga, LNs, etc.:

Anime: Sekai Saikyou no Majo, Hajimemashita

Was wondering how i was going to start the grind, didnt expect to stumble on a conversation about peak. It has a lot of flaws but personally I enjoy bleach a lot
Have seen Bleach until the start of the arc after the soul society (the one with Ulquiorra and Grimmjow). Was very good but for some reason I dropped it (probably wasn't in the mood for a long running series). Now that the anime hasd finished I will probably watch it again when I have time.

Frieren is peak. One of the best anime out there. Of cource the manga is also great but the anime is one of the best manga to anime adaptations out there.
