Well, if today a rich donor was to invest millions in h game, given the final result would be convincing enough, it would surely be at loss - but at the same time i would surely make quite a noise, adepts of censorship giving free advertisement in mainstream media.

Now it's a tricky question in a way because if said scenario doesn't happen, the video game industry will probably change enough on many aspects so the "AAA" thing of nowadays will be a curiosity of the past in, let's say, 15, 20 years? maybe more maybe less i don't know, so many factors are to be taken into account

The sure thing is porn and video games are on the rise, or at least stable, so logically it should happen one day or another

Also be warned that the period we are living now might be considered as a golden age in the future in h games were to land in bad hands

I think an H game at AAA level will happen eventually, but I don't really see it coming from one of the big publishers anytime soon. The technology probably isn't even the biggest problem here, it's more about money, reputation and all the problems with actually distributing something like that.

In 5-10 years tho, things could look completely different. AI and other tools are getting better really fast, and stuff like graphics, animation, NPCs etc. should become much cheaper and easier to make. So a project that would need a massive budget and a huge studio today might be much more realistic for a smaller team in the future.

That's why I could actually see some rich investor or independent studio making it before something like EA, Sony or Microsoft would ever touch it. And if the game was actually good, the controversy alone would probably give it a ridiculous amount of free publicity.

So yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if something like this exists in 5-10 years. It probably just won't come from the traditional AAA industry.

As much as I'd love to see that most A rated games don't ever see the light of day unfortunately. Hopefully one day
